Tools Used For Effective Learning 2: Pear Deck

As we said before, current technology offers great opportunities for the field of education as well as almost every sector. The aim of these innovations is mostly to create an interactive classroom environment for students with the help of digital tools. One of the tools that are useful and powerful in terms of creating interactive teaching is Pear Deck. Pear Deck is a free digital tool that lets teachers control their presentations in a way that creates inquiry-based and interactive learning among students. It is integrated with Google Slides, which means that everyone who has a Google account can create or edit their presentations. When it comes to the use of Pear Deck, it goes without saying that it is quite easy to operate it in your lessons. Teachers can create, edit, and share their Pear Deck presentations from their laptops, tablets, and even mobile phones with students. Interactive questions can be asked in real-time and students can answer the questions which can be seen on the screen of teachers immediately. Besides, there are many types of questions that teachers can use such as multiple questions, free response questions, draggable questions, and lastly drawing questions. Another point is that for teachers, who have not enough time to create a presentation from the beginning, there is a huge selection of templates that makes the work quicker. Similar to Edmodo, a code must be shared with students to let them join activities. The favorable thing about Pear Deck is that teachers can see the progress of students in class or remote learning.
